I got up before Alice woke, and went for a long run around the property. It was brilliant. The heavy fog cut as I sliced through it, encouraging me to run faster. I've plans to go up to the big house, and speak with Father later about a few things poking about in my mind, but I know its far too early in the morning to pester the man. One thought is like a pestering gnat; I couldn't stop thinking about it as I ran, a new place to live, a new place to live. It was a bit of a mantra as I ran, helping me keep pace across the well packed path. I love this place, but I honestly think we might need another, just a small one, closer to the Ministry. It wouldn't hurt to have a few more secret places to escape to, should the need arise. Lancashire is awfully far from London, and Merlin forbid something happens that prevents either of us from being able to apparate or hop into a floo to get home. No, the prospect of having a small place, even if it is only a few rooms is our best bet. It could be a flat or a cottage, I don't much mind.
I haven't really mentioned it to Alice yet, but I think she'll be open to the prospect. Yes, things here have been wonderful, surprisingly so. I didn't think my mother would be so....accomodating, and yet, she surprises me, daily. I've requested she send over an elf message or an owl before she just pops in; Merlin knows what she might walk into. We are still newly married; she'd could find us shagging on the kitchen table! Well, probably not, but still, boundaries! Besides, we could always come down here for the weekends and holidays, and that would suit everyone very nicely I think. Mother and Father will be content that we are communicating, and we'd still have our bit of breathing room.
No, as soon as I think Father's up, I'm off to talk to him about a loan. I've got money myself but to purchase a place outright might tap what we have to live on for the next few months. And then I've got to speak to him about entertaining. I'll owl James a bit later and perhaps work out the details with him. Meanwhile, I've got a sleeping wife in my bed that's due for her morning ravage. Did I mention how much I bloody love being married. Brilliant! Absolutely Brilliant! It's a bloody shame one can't do this while in school; it would have made the last year that much sweeter.
